The Glashedy links is simply one of the finest courses in the
world. Ballyliffin is characterised by spectacular duneland, boardered
on one side by the North Atlantic and inland by picturesque hills
and mountains.
On the 3rd of August 1995 the Glashedy links was
opened under the supervision of course architects Pat Ruddy and
Tom Craddock who stated that the land was probally the finest piece
of links golfing terrain that they had ever seen and the possibilities
for developing it as a golf links were mind-boggling.
The instructions
given to the course designers was to create a world class championship
course and today the Glashedy links is definitely that, a course
of stunning design and proportions.
